Topic: "Sag Mitigation from Big to Small"
This presentation will cover voltage sag mitigation from the individual relay level all the way up to facility-wide protection. Pros and cons of different methodologies will be discussed, along with a review of actual equipment solutions. A demonstration of mitigation equipment will also be provided. Anyone who has voltage sag sensitive equipment within their facility will want to attend in order to learn how to protect your loads!
Speaker Bio:
Scott Anderson is a Senior Engineer in SRP's Power Quality group. His expertise is focused on tracking Power Quality technology advances, developing equipment and system-based Power Quality solutions, and managing their implementation. He oversees operations and maintenance of the twin 6 MVA Dynamic Voltage Restorers which protect a large semiconductor fab facility from transmission-level voltage sags. He is also experienced in test and analysis of voltage sag ride-through for process equipment.
Scott holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Industrial Engineering & Management and Electrical & Electronics Engineering from North Dakota State. Prior to joining SRP, Scott worked in Motorola's Semiconductor Products Sector as a Facilities Staff Engineer. Scott is a registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Arizona.
