UL 1449 3 Standard of Safety for Transient Voltage Surge Suppressors (UL 1449) went into effect February 9, 2007. This is the primary safety standard for Transient Voltage Surge Suppressor (TVSS) devices. All OSHA Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTL) must test to these new standards. All TVSS products manufactured after February 9, 2007 must comply with this update to the standards.

Speaker Bio:
Bill has more than thirty years of experience in the Power Quality Industry. He has been in his current position with Meter-Treater (M-Ti) for the past eleven years where he has been responsible for selling Surge Protective Devices to both residential and C&I markets. Prior to Meter-Treater, Bill was a consultant working with several power quality companies to build their product lines and marketing strategies for global opportunities. In addition, he has served as the VP of Sales and Marketing for Atlantic Scientific was one of the founders and Executive VP of the Cylix Corporation and before that Marketing and Sales Manager for MCG Electronics.

Over the course of his career Bill as designed, built, marketed, sold, and installed Surge Protection Products (SPDs) for residential, commercial and industrial applications on AC Power and Communication (Voice/Data/Signal) Lines worldwide.
