Topic: "Power Quality, Submetering, Voltage Control, and Baseline Definition for Power and Energy Use"
A discussion on the need for utility monitoring and control from the last substation to the user meter as well as the customer shadowing the utility meter while taking control of energy usage and power demand on his side of the meter. Submetering within the facility to balance loads, assign remediation priorities, and even bill directly to tenants and processes for responsible energy use.
Speaker Bio:
G. Roger Jensen has an electrical engineering degree from the University of Colorado. He has been a member of the IEEE since 1986, working on various working groups concerning protocols, synchrophasor standards, power quality.
He is currently the Regional Manager for SATEC, Inc., a meter manufacturer, for the last 10 years. Roger also worked for Hathaway Corporation from 1988 through 2003 in capacities of: VP of Latin America, product manager, applications engineer.
