A general overview of key concepts, protective relay classifications, operating principals, operating reliability and relaying philosophy will be presented.
Speaker Bio:
Cesar Baltazar is a field application engineer with Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc in Phoenix, Arizona. His work includes providing application and product support and technical training for protective relay users. He is a member of the IEEE Power System Committee. Cesar received his BSEE degree at the University of Texas-El Paso, and has over 15 years of experience in the areas of power generation, transmission, and distribution.
