Dr. Darrell L. Richardson:
Dr. Darrell L. Richardson (D.MCO) Chief Executive Officer and Manager

Darrell has extensive experience in the financial, energy and environmental services industries. He worked at Merrill Lynch as a Financial Consultant working with with small and mid-sized businesses on financial structuring. At Honeywell, he established a National Accounts group in the Communication Services Division, developing a cross Product Marketing collaboration with the Energy Controls division and jointly developed a shared energy savings financing program designed to financing all Honeywell building solutions. As an entrepreneur, Darrell developed a custom Energy Savings Finance Program and unique Energy Saving Insurance policy for the energy efficiency and conservation market. He served on the Board of Directors of Global ePoint, Inc. from 2002 to 2005, a NASDAQ homeland security technology company providing computers, computing solutions, and digital video products to municipal, state and federal law enforcement and transportation agencies. While on the Board, he served as Chairman of the Compensation Committee and member of the Audit Committee.

More recently, Darrell has worked in the mission critical / data center industry with a focus on new data center cooling methods and technologies. Darrell has developed several new data center design concepts including the most recent multi-location high density data center projects known as the 1.02 PUE Data Center Projects to be built in Tempe, AZ and Princeton, NJ. The 1.02 PUE Data Center Project (1.02 PUE will be an ongoing target of the project) will consist of a high density wholesale data center facility focusing on delivering significant … disruptive new technologies providing energy efficiency improvements coupled with renewable / alternative energy power generation components. The objective of this Project is to significantly reduce the Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) ratio and Water Usage Effectiveness (WUE) ratio in data centers, The high density wholesale data center will provide a built in revenue stream from leasing high density racks of 10 to 30 kW per racks (Design Load of 20kW per rack) to Enterprise Companies or Colocation Data Centers needing high density services and who are not willing to expend the capital required to upgrade their existing facility’s power and cooling infrastructure to accommodate a small percentage of their customers.

R4 Ventures LLC has invited and AATC University has accepted a participating role in these projects. In addition to the Project focus on being a High Density Wholesale Data Center, it will also be coupled with the Intelligent / Smart Building Design Solutions Lab and Renewable / Alternative Energy Lab. The Projects will serve as homes to AATC University campuses providing Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctorate degree programs in the field of Mission Critical / Data Center operations and Cyber Security through AATC University’s accreditation.

Darrell received an honorary doctoral degree in Mission Critical Operations (D.MCO) from AATC University in February 2015 and has an Executive MBA in Marketing/Operations Management from the Minnesota Management Institute through the Graduate School of Management at University of Minnesota. He was appointed Regent of AATC University and serves as Vice Chairman of the Research Department and Ad Hoc Committee. AATC University offers bachelor, master and doctoral degrees in Mission Critical / Data Center Curriculum. Darrell serviced in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War period and attained a Top Secret Crypto Security Clearance.
