Voltage Sags and Voltage Sag Testing

Topic: "Voltage Sags and Voltage Sag Testing"

It will include a discussion on the causes and effects of voltage sags on manufacturing processes and a demonstration of voltage sag testing and applied mitigation methods.

Speaker Bio:
Thomas La Rose is a Senior Principal Engineer in Power Quality Services at the Salt River Project. He is responsible for applying power conditioning solutions to power quality problems and managing their implementation, particularly for the semiconductor fabrication industry. In addition, he is responsible for advising customers on the latest technology available in voltage sag ride-through mitigation equipment. Previous positions he's held include: substation apparatus and standards engineer, substation project engineer, applications engineer for industrial customers, and generation design engineer. Tom has also worked as a facilities design engineer at an aerospace manufacturing facility and as a consulting engineer -- designing generation, distribution and process control systems for offshore oil rigs and chemical industry process plants. He has been a member of IEEE since 1989, holds a BSEE from the University of New Orleans and an MBA from Arizona State University. He is a registered electrical engineer in Arizona.
