Topic: "Facility Electrical Protection - Grounding Practices and Methodology"

Ensuring that your facility is properly grounded and bonded is an important step in minimizing power quality problems and to provide an environment for the proper operation of mitigation equipment. Dan is going to discuss the reasons for having a grounding system, some mistakes that are made with respect to grounding and bonding, the importance of proper connections to provide a path for fault and lightning current, and methods for minimizing the impedance between the grounding system and earth.

Speaker Bio:
Dan Holm is a Regional Sales Manager for ERICO. He is a Professional Engineer, and is a licensed Electrical Engineer in California. Dan graduated from Minnesota State University in 1988 with a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering. Dan specializes in grounding, bonding, lighting protection, and power quality.
