Location: SRP Information Services Building (ISB), 1600 N Priest Dr, Tempe, AZ 85281
Speaker: Terry Anderson, ETA Engineering
Topic: "Solar Power Generation"
Phoenix is often called the Valley of the Sun, and as the name suggests the sun is shining more often than it is not. This makes Phoenix a tempting candidate for solar energy. However, what type of device should you use to attempt to harness the power of the sun, and what is the payback (if any) on such a device. In addition, are there power quality considerations for distributed generation of the solar nature, and what about interconnection issues with the utility?
