System Grounding

Date: Thursday, April 22nd, 2010

Location: SRP Information Services Building (ISB), 1600 N Priest Dr, Tempe, AZ 85281

Speaker: James Willey, I-gard

Topic: "System Grounding"

The NEC permits electrical distribution systems to be solidly grounded, ungrounded, or impedance grounded. The choice of system grounding affects the reliability, safety and operation of the electrical distribution system. High resistance grounding is being used as a means to increase system reliability and reduce arc flash hazard.
