Topic: "Solar Power in Italy"
The presentation is about a fact finding mission organized by SEPA that sent United States utility decision makers to Italy to learn how the Italians supported their Solar Industry. The 20 delegates from the U.S. were sent to Milan, Rome, and Venice to learn the factors behind this expanding market and the new policies put in place to promote the sustainability of the market. Understanding that the Italians are about 3 to 5 years ahead of the US utilities, the delegates learned of the challenges that the Italians faced and how they overcame them.
Speaker Bio:
Jason Gunawardena has a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering out of the University of Nevada Reno, an MBA from Western International University, and professional registration in the state of Arizona. He has been working as an engineer for Salt River project since 2004 with emphasis on operations on the distribution system.
