How to Obtain Accurate Power Measurements in the Presence of Harmonics and Unbalance

Date: Thursday, June 28th, 2007

Location: SRP Information Services Building (ISB), 1600 N Priest Dr, Tempe, AZ 85281

Speaker: Bob Hughes, Schweitzer Engineering Labs

Topic: "How to Obtain Accurate Power Measurements in the Presence of Harmonics and Unbalance"

Harmonics and unbalance can significantly impact the results of voltage, current, and power measurements. This presentation will show how to make accurate measurements under real-world conditions of harmonics and unbalance. In comparison, we will discuss practical simplifications that can be made to provide measurements that are “good enough” for specific situations.
