Topic: "Brown and Caldwell's Operations Management System"
The Operations Management System is a web application framework that provides managers and staff of process driven municipal and industrial facilities, such as water and wastewater treatment plants, with the information they need to effectively and efficiently manage operations. Not software in the traditional sense, the OMS is a collection of web services that are used to create highly scalable and flexible enterprise web applications. At its heart the OMS is a data management system that is designed to facilitate the creation, capturing, and management of information that is used to manage facility operations. The OMS was specifically designed to be integrated with other information management systems, such as Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, etc. When combined with other information management systems, the OMS provides a common gateway or portal through which information from a myriad of systems can be viewed in a common and standardized interface.
