Topic: "A Discussion of Interconnection Issues from Different Perspectives"

This presentation will be a discussion of DG interconnection issues from both the utility and equipment vendor/installer perspectives. At times, these two perspectives may be at odds with one another - however, working together it is possible to install distributed generation on the utility grid in a safe, reliable, and timely manner.

Speaker Bios:
Bryan Gernet:
Graduated in 1977 with a BS in Electrical Engineering. Worked in the nuclear industry as a Control and Instrumentation Engineer in South Africa, France and at Palo Verde. Have worked for APS going on 29 years in various capacities including Power Quality and Interconnection (for 25 years).

Sean Seitz:
Sean Seitz graduated from Clemson University w/a BSME degree in 1996. He is the president and co-founder of American Solar Electric, an Arizona-based design-build firm specializing in PV power systems. Sean will be discussing his experiences working with Utilities, and NEC and local jurisdiction requirements that must be met to commission a distributed generator.
